More than photography - experiences
In these tours we will combine the pleasure of discovering and visiting new places with taking photos. Maybe you've heard about these places on the Prahova valley, but you haven't seen them yet. You are in the right place. You enjoy these places, I take care to immortalize these experiences. It doesn't matter if you are a couple, family, friends, everything will be for a complete experience.
I’m pretty sure you have heard of Peleș Castle, located in Sinaia, the charming mountain town. One of the most spectacular buildings in Romania, the castle was built between 1873-1914, in neo-Renaissance style, with German inspiration, at the request of Carol I, king of Romania. At the end of the 19th century, Peleş Castle was among the most modern European royal residences, benefiting from electricity, indoor elevator and central heating.
**)Unfortunately, the roof of the castle is under repair, which is why the facade of the castle is covered with scaffolding. This situation will be maintained until the end of 2024, but it is possible to extend it to the beginning of 2025. Cantacuzino Castle, another jewel of the Prahova Valley, located in town of Bușteni. The castle was completed in 1911 after more than five years of construction. Made in neo-Romanian style, at the request of Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, the castle still impresses today with the park available to visitors, but above all with the spectacular panorama over the Bucegi mountains. And not only that - the castle was the filming location of the "Wednesday" series, a production of the "The Addams Family" franchise. The exterior of the castle has been completely transformed to become the Nevermore Academy.

Peleș Castle
The central point of interest for this experience is Peleș Castle. We will arrive at the parking lot near the castle and from there we will walk along the paths to the castle. We will enjoy the fresh air, the smell of the fir tree. We will take breaks whenever needed: for photos, for rest, for a small snack;
Arriving at the castle, we will have countless places to photograph. Yes, Peleș Castle is the "piece of resistance", but in the area there is also Pelișor Castle (sometimes ignored by visitors), and several buildings with German-inspired architecture;
The experience will continue with a short walk in the central park of Sinaia. And here we will find historical buildings (for example Sinaia Casino), only good places for photo sessions 😀
At the end, with a quiver full of photos, we will return home, tired but happy;

Cantacuzino Castel
Our destination will be Cantacuzino castle, from Bușteni town;
Located in a superb natural environment, we will enjoy nature, the fresh air, the magnificent view of the Bucegi mountains;
The castle courtyard is a large park where we will walk, relax, take photos. And there are only good places, don't worry;
At the end, with a quiver full of photos, we will return home, tired but happy;

Two castles in one trip
Yes, this is the ultimate experience - we will visit, in one day, the two castles on Valea Prahova: Peleș and Cantacuzino;
We will leave from Bucharest and the first stop will be Peleș Castle;
We will park near the castle and walk along the alleys paved with stones, in the footsteps of the kings of Romania;
We will have a lot of beautiful places where we will stop, take pictures, enjoy the scenery;
Peleș Castle, as well as other nearby buildings, will create the perfect setting for unforgettable memories;
After we finish the visit to Peleș, we will go back to the car and continue our journey to the second objective - the Cantacuzino castle;
And here we will enjoy nature, the wonderful natural setting, the castle courtyard transformed into a park;
We will walk, take pictures and finally return home, tired but happy;

These tours are planed to have the starting point from Bucharest. But, if there are cases in which you cannot come to Bucharest, or you live near/outside of Bucharest, we can discuss all the details and find a solution.

Because the city of Bucharest is quite crowded, especially at peak hours, and I don't want to spend time in traffic, it would be ideal to leave earlier than 7 am. But I am aware that this will not always be possible, so we will agree all these details in the pre-event discussion.

Transport to these places will be provided by me, within the limit of 4 people. If the group is larger, we will look for a convenient solution for everyone. In any case, we will also take this aspect into account in the pre-meeting discussion.
The duration of the journey is at least 2h. It depends a lot on the day of the week, the time we will leave Bucharest, the time of year, other events. This is why I recommend leaving early in the morning.

Because it is not a simple photo session, because the whole experience is important, the joy of being in beautiful places (and maybe new for you), I recommend to take into consideration a whole day. When not to be in a hurry because you have to return home, when try to have no stress. On the other hand, any situation that requires a shorter duration will be analyzed in the discussion we will have prior to the event.

Yes, that is a very good question. Before every meeting I check the weather forecast. We will keep in touch constantly, especially before departure. Any changes will be announced and we will determine together if and in which conditions the event will be held.

The photos will be digitally delivered, in jpeg format, meaning you will receive a link where they can be downloaded in full resolution. The delivery time is a maximum of 1 week.
Why not immediately? Because, after I return home, I sort everything I've photographed (there can be hundreds) keeping the best ones, then I edit each one separately. At the end I will only hand over the edited photos to you. This process may take several days.
Unedited photos (jpeg straight from the camera or raw files) are not provided.

Of course. These two proposed places are some of my favorites and relatively easily accessible. But I am constantly looking for new, interesting places that will delight those who visit them.
